Net Jet Online Gaming System

from Tiger Electronics and Hasbro

The latest in online gaming systems is the Net Jet from Tiger Electronics, a subsidary of Hasbro. Net Jet aims to fill the void in the online casual gaming market, where one will be able to play games online at NetJet.com which offers an ad-free environment. Sounds good, right?

Unfortunately, most good things come at a price. It's no different here as you have to shell out for the controller which retails for $24.99. That's still acceptable though. What's really going to pinch is the cost of each game key - a whopping $14.99 for each game title.

How does the Net Jet work? As mentioned earlier, there are 2 components which make up the system - a controller and a game key. The controller has to be plugged into the USB port of your computer. The key can be used to unlock the system, and connect to NetJet.com, where you can choose your games.

A game key will get you one "feature" game and 3 "choice" games. Feature games are specially designed and have cutting edge graphics. Choice games are flash based and much lighter. The feature game titles include Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends: Buggin' Out, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy: Freaky Freezeday, Super Soaker Water Fight, Mission:Paintball, Marble Blast XP, Bubble Bonanza, Kool Kart Racing, and Peak Performance Snowboarding. The choice games include Free Kick Football, Darts, MiniGolf, Penguin Power, Treasure Hunt, Skeet Shoot, StakeOut, Ben 10: Ben to the Rescue and Volleyball.
