My toddlers absolutely love the Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed by Eileen Christelow - it's such a cute book. So, I was delighted when I came across the Five Little Monkeys series of games and puzzles from University Games. I must confess, I spent way too much time on the games which I enjoyed thoroughly!
The Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed board game from University Games is really fun. As expected, the object of the game is to get all of your monkeys onto the bed. It's not as easy as it sounds, though. There are lots of reasons for your monkeys to keep jumping off the bed! I have to mention that the yellow plastic bed included is too cute for words. The game includes a spinner card with spinner, tokens, 24 monkeys and instructions.
My 5 year old went ga-ga over this puzzle. She put it all together in a jiffy (she's a puzzle whiz) and promptly started sticking the little monkey pieces all over the board. The Colorforms stick-on pieces attach to the puzzle board so well almost like magnets, but without the hazard associated with magnets. It was fun to watch her make up stories and move the monkeys up and down the trees in accordance with her tales. I highly recommend this puzzle.
These are conventional, but good, 24 piece puzzles from University Games. The puzzles are based on the Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed and Five Little Monkeys Washing the Car books. Each puzzle measures 11.5" by 15". The quality is good, just as expected from University games.
The Five Little Monkeys finger puppets are a perfect complement to the Five Little Monkeys book series. You can enact the monkeys antics as you read the book aloud to your child.
