The Hot Wheels Slimecano concept is a product of every boy's dreams ... as long as it remains a dream thats fine! Even though the manufacturer's had a brilliant idea with this playset, the execution of this product is not that brilliant. This playset is disappointing to say the least.

Guide Review - Hot Wheels playset "Slimecano"
The Hot Wheels playset Slimecano, yes, you got that right, that word is a mutant of Slime and Volcano, sounded like an awesome concept for little boys. Shaking boulders, volcanoes erupting, slime pits, racing up the mountainside in Hot Wheel cars.. wow.. this sure sounded like a little boy's dream come true. Unfortunately, this product did not live up to the expectations it created. On taking it out of the box, there were so many pieces to put together, which took almost half an hour to do. Even after assembling it, it wasn't very stable. Onto the next step, finding a 1/64 scale Hot Wheels car to put onto the racetrack. The car has to be just right, otherwise it will get stuck on the track and refuse to climb. The car is propelled by a launcher at the base of the mountain, and is supposed to go up the tracks, jumping over the slime pit avoiding the collapsing bridges and falling boulders all along. The mountain is supposed to erupt with the slime falling all over like lava. That reminds me, the slime! One word of caution about this reddish colored goo .. it stains and is extremely difficult to get off floors, carpets and even your hands. Play outdoors, or on a big sheet of newspaper. All in all, this playset isn't worth the money and is messy to boot.
