On to the next step - installing batteries. First of all, you need 2 sizes of batteries for the R/C car - 1 9V battery for the controller, and another 3 AAA batteries for the vehicle itself. Now came the tough part - and tough it was! I landed up taking the entire body of the car out of the rubber casing in order to open the battery compartment. The instructions are not clear. Once it was off and the batteries were in the proper place, I did manage to put everything back where it belonged.
After heaving a sigh of relief, I very excitedly started to press on the controller buttons to make the car move. Guess, what? Nothing happened. On investigating it a little more, I found that the rubber flaps on the side of the wheel were stopping the wheels from moving. After vainly trying to realign the body to avoid friction with the wheels, I gave up and used a scissor to cut the offending flaps off.
Finally, the car started! In all fairness, once the car was moving around, my kids and I really enjoyed controlling it. The controller is easy to use with two big buttons. One button makes the car move forward, and the other button makes it turn around. The car responds well to the controller, and is very easy to manipulate for small kids too. The car operates on the 27 MHz frequency.
